Lesson 6: Exploring Distort Effects

This exercise explores a wide array of different Distort effects in Sapphire. First we start with S_Distort and S_DistortRGB.

Then we learn how to create a rain-covered window effect using S_DistortChroma. Next we make a more stylized music video style effect with S_WarpChroma. Following we apply S_WarpChroma directly to some Cinema4D layers right inside our After Effects composition. Now that we are familiar with working with a few distort effects, we move on to working with S_WarpPolar. In the next shot, we slice up some video with Warp Chroma and Parallax Strips. We look at how to add more visual interest in a scene by adding a little camera shake, and split channel effects using S_Shake.
